Job summary

Stantec offers a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate River & Coastal Civil Engineer in Birmingham, Cambridge or Manchester. You will join our Infrastructure team to develop flood risk, hydrology, hydraulics and water management skills while contributing to real UK projects.

You will work under a mentor toward professional chartership (CEng, CSci or CEnv), complete the structured graduate training scheme, and spend four days per week in the office to collaborate with your team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period.

Responsibilities

• Support detailed design of flood alleviation schemes and coastal protection works.
• Deliver river restoration, natural flood management and climate resilience strategies.
• Produce hydrology and hydraulic assessments and technical reports.
• Assist senior staff with programme management and site surveys.
