Job summary

Eurofins UK Environment Testing is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician to prepare water samples for analysis, working closely with colleagues to meet testing timelines. You will handle filtration, plate techniques, and ensure accurate results in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse water samples using filtration and direct plate techniques.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including calibrations and cleanliness.
• Record sample data in the LIMS system and ensure traceability.
• Label, store and dispose of samples correctly.
• Monitor stock and restock materials as required.
• Support daily quality tasks and internal/external quality checks.
• Collaborate with team to meet turnaround times and maintain hygiene standards.
• Follow 5S and lean production principles in the workspace.
• Keep training records up to date and stay updated on procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and carbon footprint reduction.
