Severn Trent's Water Quality and Environment team invites you to join as Laboratory Scientist. The role involves microbiological analysis of drinking water and samples from treatment works, service reservoirs and taps, supporting regulatory commitments to the Drinking Water Inspectorate.

You will work with the LIMS, ensure tests meet priority deadlines and ISO17025 and QMS requirements, interpret data, investigate atypical results, and contribute to proficiency testing, CPD and method witness

Formación

• Minimum six months lab experience.
• Five GCSEs or equivalent and a higher qualification in a scientific discipline or membership with a professional body.
• Knowledge of Water Quality testing procedures and ISO17025 / QMS compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret, check, and report analytical data per QMS.
• Understand lab processes and interpret atypical results to determine correct action.
• Escalate and complete non-conforming investigations and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain DWI and ISO17025 competency via proficiency testing, CPD, data reporting, and audits.
• Ensure testing procedures comply with ISO17025 and regulatory standards.
