Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Planning Engineer to join a leading water-sector planning team in Stockport. You will develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from tender through to completion, ensuring timely delivery on water infrastructure schemes.

Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will identify risks and opportunities, lead planning workshops and ensure programmes comply with NEC and contract requirements, while driving continuous improvement and robust

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in planning projects within the water sector.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project to develop schedules.
• Ability to interpret contract requirements and tender documentation.
• Develop and maintain compliant, realistic project programmes.
• Lead collaborative planning workshops with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform critical path analysis and earned value management.
• Identify risks and opportunities within programmes and mitigate them.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management under pressure.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from tender stage through to project completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and commercial stakeholders to produce compliant schedules.
• Identify risks and opportunities and drive continuous improvement of planning processes.
• Ensure alignment with NEC and other contract forms and client expectations.
• Lead planning workshops and present schedules to multidisciplinary teams.
