We have been named a partner on a new AMP8 framework with United Utilities, which will extend our relationship for at least the next five years. The partnership is set to be responsible for over £13bn of major infrastructure in the Northwest of England. Investment includes upgrades to wastewater treatment works and reducing storm overflows through the delivery of the largest spill reduction programme in the UK, protecting more than 500km of rivers and bathing waters.
Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join the United Utilities Enterprise Team. This is a key role within the delivery team, reporting directly to the Enterprise operational lead. This position will further enhance our present Planning team and lead them towards meeting the challenges and demands this high‑tempo framework brings. You’ll provide strategic leadership across a multidisciplinary team, guiding programmes from early inception through design, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
The Planning Manager is central to the performance and evolution of the existing team — combining leadership, delivery excellence, commercial acumen, stakeholder influence and a passionate commitment to safety, innovation, and people.
You’ll also play a key leadership role across the Enterprise partners, shaping the culture, strategy, and success of the Enterprise.
