Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Planner to join our planning team in Dukinfield with hybrid working options. You will report to the Planning Manager and drive delivery to plan while challenging delays and deviations.

You’ll work with Senior Planners to develop into a planning expert and help drive outperformance across the team. Responsibilities include creating detailed project plans, coordinating resources, applying Last Planner techniques, and proactively managing risks.

Qualifications

• Experience on projects within the Water Industry.
• Proficient in project planning methodologies and tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings for planning.
• Experience delivering plans to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job description

We arelooking to strengthen our Planning team with a Planner based at Dukinfield (east Manchester) with some hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Planning Manager and you will be a member of the project planning team, driving the project team to deliver to the plan and challenge any delay and deviation. Working with Senior Planners we can offer coaching and guiding for your ongoing development into a planning expert and help drive outperformance amongst the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Collaboratively develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the full project lifecycle.
• Ensure project plans capture the full project scope and resources are considered and loaded as required.
• Implementing Last Planner techniques.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities and risks in the plan and monitor the critical path and key milestones,
  advising the delivery team on any potential changes.
• Review and challenge supply chain programmes and ensure these are monitored and incorporated with the main project plan.
• Develop programmes in line with MWH Treatment planning procedures including but not limited to;
  • Implementation of all required project and activity codes
  • Baseline management
  • Production of programme narrative for submission to client
  • Schedule quality and integrity checks completed periodically.

Skills/Experience Required to be considered for this roleExperience of working on relevant projects within the Water Industry.Primavera P6 & MS Project planning software experienceUnderstand collaborative planning processes, you'll have the ability to:Interrogate drawings to implement efficient planning service to the business.Support detailed claims programme development and implement any contractual changes to the programme.Good ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.Working in a pressurised situations to tight deadlines will be crucial.Adaptable as required to meet project objectives.Curious and supportive to both learn from and support other members of the teams to enhance the reputation of the planning team amongst the business.Desired but not mandatory for this position is a technical degree in a relevant field
