Job summary

Severn Trent Water in Birmingham is seeking a Network Gang Operative to join the Water Networks team covering the Edgbaston area. You will support repair, maintenance and installation of key network assets and engage with customers to keep them informed throughout the process.

You will hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence, enjoy a practical hands-on role, and work 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a standby rota of 1 week in 7.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a field-based, practical role.

Responsibilities

• Support repair, maintenance and installation of water network assets.
• Work on mains meters, PRVs, sluice valves and fire hydrants, including installations and upgrades.
• Carry out burst main repairs and assist with bypass installations.
• Engage with customers to keep them informed throughout each stage.
