Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in South Wales is seeking an experienced Network Analyst for a 6-month contract focused on clean water distribution networks, hydraulic modelling and risk management. You will lead technical assurance across the water distribution network, run hydraulic modelling, assess capacity and resilience, and translate complex analysis into actionable operational guidance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in the water industry, ideally within network, asset management, operational or analytical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of clean water distribution networks and assets.
  • Experience with hydraulic modelling and/or GIS.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic principles and water distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A relevant HND or equivalent qualification in engineering or science.
  • A full current driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assurance across the water distribution network.
  • Lead and approve hydraulic, operational and surge modelling.
  • Assess network capacity, resilience, asset risk and service performance.
  • Lead technical investigations into bursts, pressure issues, water quality incidents and supply interruptions.
  • Ensure network models accurately reflect current assets and network configuration.
  • Provide technical input into operational, planning and capital projects.
  • Translate complex modelling and technical analysis into clear operational recommendations.
  • Work closely with operations, planning and capital delivery teams.
  • Support network issues and participate in an out-of-hours standby rota.

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading organisation in the water sector to recruit an experienced Network Analyst.

This is a senior technical role focused on clean water distribution networks, hydraulic modelling, network assurance and risk management. You will provide technical expertise to support operational and investment decisions, ensuring the network remains safe, resilient and capable of delivering high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assurance across the water distribution network.
  • Lead and approve hydraulic, operational and surge modelling.

About You
