Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP in Winchester is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects through high-quality drawings, models, schedules and technical information.

You will work with engineers and project managers in our Winchester office to design and develop critical water sector assets and improvements, creating BIM models and 2D drawings while maintaining documentation and BIM standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Understanding of engineering drawing standards.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
• Desirable: Experience in water sector.
• Desirable: Revit, BIM 360 or similar platforms.
• Desirable: EngTech, ICE or related professional institution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and BIM models.
• Produce general arrangement, detailed design, and construction drawings.
• Assist in the coordination of multidisciplinary design information.
• Develop 3D models using industry-standard software.
• Support design reviews and drawing checks.
• Maintain project documentation and drawing registers.
• Assist with site surveys and condition assessments.
• Support engineers in the production of reports and technical deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with company BIM standards and quality procedures.
