Job summary

OCU in Nottingham is seeking a motivated candidate for a Level 3 Water Industry Asset Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship. You'll work with engineers on water and wastewater sites, gaining hands-on experience in mechanical installation, maintenance and pipe fitting.

This 36-month program combines practical site experience with theoretical learning. Regular site travel across the country, outdoor work in all weather, and a focus on safety and teamwork are part of the role.

Qualifications

• For our Level 3 Apprenticeship, you’ll need 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade 4/C or above.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians on water and wastewater sites, getting hands-on with mechanical installation, maintenance and pipe fitting that keeps essential infrastructure working.
This is a practical, physically demanding role, where you'll spend much of your time working outdoors on operational sites in all kinds of weather. You'll use tools and equipment, help install and fit pipework, support repairs and maintenance, and learn how to identify and resolve faults.
You'll also travel regularly to different sites across the country, so you'll gain experience across a variety of environments.
