Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Water Hygiene Technician for the Basingstoke area. The role involves supporting the Environment & Safety division with water hygiene tasks, including tank inspections, cleaning, sampling, and temperature monitoring.

Travel will be part of the day-to-day duties, and there is potential to work across other disciplines as the team grows. Note: once in position, obtaining MOD Security Clearance will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in some, or all, of the tasks listed above, or a willingness to be trained.
• A “can do” attitude
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Cold water storage tank inspections and recommending remedial works
• Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections
• Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing
• Water sampling
• Water temperature monitoring
• Showerhead descaling
