Job Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Scotland-based team. This role involves carrying out a range of water hygiene services to support our clients in maintaining compliance and ensuring the safety of their water systems. The role is site-based and includes travel to client premises across the UK as required. Flexibility for occasional overnight stays and weekend work is essential to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform water system temperature monitoring in line with ACOP L8, HSG 274, HTM 04-01 and SHTM 04-01 standards.
2. Carry out cleaning and disinfection of Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWST).
3. Conduct microbiological sampling and ensure samples are processed appropriately.
4. Undertake TMV servicing and other routine water hygiene tasks.
5. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all work records and reports.
6. Liaise with clients on-site, providing a professional and helpful service.
7. Support the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in water hygiene services, including temperature monitoring, sampling, and TMV servicing.
• Knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and using ladders as required.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
