Job summary

PTSG Water Treatment is seeking a field-based engineer to join our expanding UK team. You will travel to customer sites, ensure water systems are safe and compliant across the Glasgow region, and perform inspections, cleaning, and routine monitoring in line with HSG 274 Part 2.

You will hold a full UK driving licence, City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, and use SimPRO to manage workloads while upholding our high standards of safety and service across a busy multi-site portfolio.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and driving ability to travel to customer sites.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes and safety standards.
• Able to identify issues and provide practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, including tank chlorination.
• Install and service thermostatic mixing valves.
• Perform routine monitoring in line with HSG 274 Part 2.

Location: Glasgow area - Mobile position Contract: Permanent and Full-Time, 40 hpw Monday to Friday (no evenings, no weekends, no on-call)

What you'll be doing:

As a key part of our team, you'll travel to customer sites, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve essential tasks like inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels (including leading on tank chlorinations), installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2. This means you'll be flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing critical sampling for closed water systems.

You'll also expertly use our SimPRO system to manage your workload. Your ability to spot problems and proactively find solutions, combined with your detailed knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274, will be vital in maintaining our professional and compliant reputation.

You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence and have City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience to succeed in this role.
