Job summary

SOCOTEC UK is seeking a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Environment & Safety division in Colchester. You will travel as needed to inspect and service water systems to ensure Legionella risk management and compliance.

The role requires a proactive candidate with a full UK driving licence, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work both in teams and independently. Training will be provided as you help deliver practical, safety-focused solutions for clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in some or all of the listed tasks, or willingness to be trained.
• A can-do attitude and reliability are essential.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Job Description

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Environment & Safety division.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable and committed to join our team. As a member of the Environment & Safety division it is key that you can work efficiently as part of a team as well as having the capabilities to work independently. Due to the nature of the job, travelling will be part of your day-to-day role.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Cold water storage tank inspections and recommending remedial works
• Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections
• Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing
• Water temperature monitoring

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in some, or all, of the tasks listed above, or a willingness to be trained
• A “can do” attitude
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel

Note: Once in position, it will be a requirement of the role to obtain MOD Security Clearance.
