Remedial Plumber

Requirements for applicants:

1. Minimum level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent
2. Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude and technical ability
3. Ability to solve problems and offer solutions
4. Experience working unsupervised, leading a team, and overcoming challenges to complete tasks
5. Ability to discuss technical issues confidently and record detailed engineer's reports and log books accurately
6. Physical capability for lifting, carrying, and climbing
7. Full UK driving license

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Plumbing works including dead end/leg removal, replacing ball valves, installing insect screens, tank vents, fitting lids, lagging, replacing TMVs, TMV inspection & servicing, replacing taps, re-routing pipework, water heater replacements, softener installation, equipment installation, tank replacements
2. Temperature monitoring of tap outlets and tanks/cylinders
3. Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads & outlets
4. Visual inspections of water systems
5. Water sampling
6. Analysis of closed systems using site test kits
7. Chemical dosing
8. Cooling tower cleaning, disinfection, and analysis
9. Water feature analysis, sampling, and C&D's
10. Descaling & internal inspections of calorifiers & water heaters
11. Cleaning & disinfection of pipework systems and cold water storage tanks according to BS standards
12. Mains injection disinfections
13. Softener servicing & disinfection
