Remedial Plumber

Requirements for applicants:

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude and technical ability
• Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented approach
• Experience working unsupervised, leading teams, and overcoming challenges
• Ability to discuss technical issues confidently and record detailed reports
• Physical capability for lifting, carrying, and climbing
• Full UK driving license

Duties and responsibilities:

• Plumbing tasks including dead end/leg removal, ball valve replacement, installing insect screens, tank vents, fitting lids, lagging, TMV servicing, tap replacement, pipe rerouting, water heater replacement, softener installation, and equipment installation
• Temperature monitoring of tap outlets and tanks
• Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads and outlets
• Visual water system inspections
• Water sampling and analysis using site test kits
• Chemical dosing and cooling tower maintenance
• Water feature analysis and sampling
• Descaling and internal inspections of calorifiers and water heaters
• Cleaning and disinfection of pipework systems and tanks as per BS 8558:2011
• Mains injection disinfection and softener servicing
