Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an Associate Director to lead and develop the Water engineering capability, influencing technical delivery, bid work and client relationships. You will operate across water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects and help shape future growth.

The role offers £70,000–£90,000 with a performance bonus and can be based in Birmingham with occasional attendance in Coventry. Chartered status would be strongly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong water or infrastructure engineering background.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Technical leadership and project delivery experience.
• Comfortable working with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client-facing skills.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
• Chartered status would be strongly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Water Engineering projects and technical delivery.
• Work across infrastructure and non-infrastructure Water schemes.
• Provide technical leadership in a Design & Build environment.
• Develop key client and contractor relationships.
• Support and develop engineers, including Chartership progression.
• Help grow the Water team and technical capability.
• Develop commercial opportunities and new relationships.
