Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Associate Director for Water Engineering in Coventry with flexible UK location. The role leads technical delivery, client engagement, and growth of the Water capability within a growing consultancy.

You will oversee water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, mentor engineers, and shape strategy while collaborating with contractors and clients in a fast-moving Design & Build environment. Coventry attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong Water or infrastructure engineering background.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Technical leadership and project delivery experience.
• Comfortable working with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
• Chartered status would be strongly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Water Engineering projects and technical delivery.
• Work across infrastructure and non-infrastructure Water schemes.
• Provide technical leadership within a Design & Build environment.
• Develop and maintain key client and contractor relationships.
• Support, mentor and develop engineers, including Chartership progression.
• Help grow the Water team and its technical capability.
• Identify and develop commercial opportunities.
• Contribute to the wider direction and growth of the business.
