Job summary

Consult seeks a Water Domain and Solutions Lead for a 6-month contract, hybrid across the UK. The role requires extensive travel to client sites including Exeter and other regions, with travel expenses reimbursed. Immediate joiners preferred or max 2 weeks' notice.

You will lead delivery as a programme manager/architect with deep water sector knowledge, engaging CIOs and IT leaders, and contributing to bid responses.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in IT services or SI, with UK water utilities exposure.
• Hands-on delivery accountability as programme manager, delivery lead, engagement manager, solution architect or domain consultant on data platform & analytics; EAM; CRM/Billing; GIS/mobile workforce; cloud migration; IT operations; integration & modernisation.
• Water sector fluency with knowledge of price reviews, AMP cycles, Ofwat, C-MeX and regulator roles.
• Experience engaging with water company CIOs, IT leaders and procurement to govern suppliers.
• Bid experience from the supplier side on water/utilities tenders with outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and advisory work across UK water/utilities sectors.
• Define and champion solution architectures for data, asset management, and CRM initiatives.
• Engage with CIOs, enterprise data and IT operations leaders to align technology priorities.
• Contribute to tender responses and bid deliveries with measurable outcomes.
• Provide clear UK English written communications and constructive design challenge.
