Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is hiring a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for our Flixton site near Bungay. You will operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, monitor processes and assist engineers with repairs, while keeping detailed records.

Working on a 4-on, 4-off day shift (6:00am to 6:00pm), you will follow health and safety procedures and contribute to efficient, compliant site operations. Full-time and part-time contracts are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in wastewater or water treatment or similar technical role.
• Practical understanding of pumps, pipes and plant equipment.
• Knowledge of health, safety and quality-control standards.
• Ability to inspect, fault-find and support maintenance.
• Good record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop within the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant systems.
• Manage filtering and chemical-treatment processes.
• Complete daily inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect, service and repair plant components including water intakes and pipes.
• Assist engineers with work orders and major repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and report faults promptly.
• Take water-meter readings around the factory.
• Maintain boiler and chlorine dioxide (ClO2) systems.
• Keep accurate daily operating, inspection and maintenance records.
• Ensure records meet company and regulatory requirements.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and food-manufacturing procedures.
• Report directly to the Engineering Manager.
