Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is offering a permanent role in the operational function. You will operate and maintain wastewater treatment works and pumping stations, ensuring environmental permits and QMS compliance, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The position involves multi-site mobile work within a defined area, with no home working, a company vehicle provided, and a standby rota. It offers a market-competitive salary and extensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of compliance with Health & Safety standards.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service delivery.
• Awareness of regulatory bodies such as Environment Agency/NRW.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment works and pumping stations in line with environmental permits and QMS.
• Identify and raise reactive work for equipment as required, coordinating with multi-discipline teams.
• Identify potential pollution risks and take preventive measures; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with area Supervisor and team members on operating activities and continuous improvement.
• Ensure personal and colleagues’ safety by following Health and Safety procedures.
• Adhere to quality system requirements to ensure audit compliance.
• Own and maintain sites, ensuring housekeeping standards and reporting defects.
• Be willing to develop across multiple sites and participate in standby rota.
