Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead operational crews in the maintenance of wastewater assets. The role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental responsibility while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires proven supervisory experience, strong leadership and cost-management skills, plus ability to manage contractors and drive efficiency through new technologies. A driving licence is essential. Standby rota may be required.

Qualifications

• Full and valid driving licence is required.
• Proven supervisory experience in wastewater assets and performance.
• Extensive operational experience and contractor management.
• Proven track record in audit performance (internal and external).
• Experience leading operational teams and implementing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of wastewater assets and direct/sub-contract teams.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and environmental standards across activities.
• Deliver excellent customer service and operate a customer-led service approach.
• Cover for Operational Managers as needed and drive high performance culture.
• Implement process improvements and manage change with new technology or practices.
• Monitor team performance and manage budget to meet department targets.
• Develop contingency plans and manage incidents per company procedures.
• Participate in standby rota and promote best practice across sites.
