Job summary

Northumbrian Water is seeking a Wastewater Technical Policy Advisor on a 2-year fixed term or secondment. The role is full time (37 hours) with flexible arrangements and hybrid work at Washington, Tyne and Wear and Pity Me, County Durham.

You will support PR29 planning, develop technical strategies, and detail intervention options and benefits to meet our objectives. The role includes horizon scanning, data analysis and governance to back decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience developing technical reports and awareness of UK water industry regulatory framework.
• Awareness of utility industry factors: politics, economy, society, tech.
• Ability to analyse data from multiple systems for decisions.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
• DBS/safety responsibilities apply.

Responsibilities

• Support PR29 strategies and technical options development.
• Horizon scan for innovative solutions and tech advances.
• Analyse capital and operational interventions for planning.
• Administer technical documentation, data gathering and analysis.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders; ensure governance.
