Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is recruiting a Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller for the UK Water business. You will develop InfoWorks ICM models to diagnose wastewater network issues, analyse datasets, and support asset investment decisions for clients including water companies and authorities.
The role requires strong experience in urban drainage modelling, GIS (ArcGIS/MapInfo), and delivering technical reports. Mentoring and tender support may be involved, with opportunities for travel and site visits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in urban drainage modelling using InfoWorks ICM, ideally in UK water sector.
- Proficiency with GIS platforms (ArcGIS or MapInfo).
- Desirable degrees or chartership (CIWEM/ICE).
- Experience supervising staff and delivering robust client reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop InfoWorks ICM models to investigate wastewater network issues and plan solutions.
- Analyse datasets to support modelling, option development and decision-making.
- Provide guidance to clients to aid asset investment decisions.
- Contribute to preparation of reports and project deliverables.
- Prepare health and safety risk assessments.
- Assist with tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades.
- Supervise and mentor staff to support their development.
- Contribute to technical innovation within the team.
