Department

Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company specialise in multiple divisions. United Utilities operates across a number of contracts across our business, predominantly wastewater network services as part of the AMP 7 period plan. The Team support reactive and planned maintenance across the CCTV & Jetting and Civils teams, further supported by our in house Traffic Management Division and Capital Projects covering the entire UU network.

Purpose of the role

As a Solo Solver, you’ll be one of the first points of contact when wastewater incidents or customer issues arise. You’ll investigate problems, identify what has caused them and make sure the appropriate action is taken. You’ll also help ensure customers receive a professional and efficient service throughout the process. The role is practical and varied, with much of the work carried out independently as a “Solo Solver”. You could be responding to blockages, odours or pest incidents, carrying out investigations and inspections, and taking ownership of resolving issues safely and effectively, while liaising with specialist teams where more complex support is required.
