Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Waste Supervisor to manage and develop key client accounts while coordinating the collection and packaging of hazardous chemical waste (lab-smalls) at a university client in the UK. The role is on-site and will involve hands-on account management and waste activities.

The successful candidate will audit suppliers, manage risk assessments, and support the wider Mitie Waste business. A background in waste/recycling and a chemistry-related qualification is required.

Role Responsibilities:

• FLT Essential for hands on operational account manager role
• Successfully manage and develop key client account.
• Manage the collection and packaging of hazardous chemical waste (lab‑smalls) on site.
• Fulfil other technical chemist / account management activities in support of the wider Mitie Waste business.
• Audit suppliers and client sites.
• Manage risk assessments and method statements for on‑site waste activities under Mitie control.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous knowledge of the waste and recycling sector.
• HNC or above in Chemistry or related field.
• Sound knowledge of legislative requirements governing clinical and hazardous waste types (WM3).
