Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Waste Supervisor to manage and develop key client accounts while handling collection and packaging of hazardous chemical waste (lab-smalls) on site at our Wirral operation, and to support wider Mitie Waste activities.

The role requires knowledge of the waste and recycling sector, an HNC or higher in Chemistry or related field, and familiarity with WM3 regulatory requirements. The position includes on-site risk assessments and supplier audits.

Qualifications

• Previous knowledge of the waste and recycling sector.
• Sound knowledge of legislative requirements governing clinical and hazardous waste types (WM3).

ROLE: Waste Supervisor

HOURS: 40 hours a week

LOCATION: Wirral - North West England

Role Responsibilities:

• FLT Essential for hands on operational account manager role
• Successfully manage and develop key client account.
• Manage the collection and packaging of hazardous chemical waste (lab‑smalls) on site.
• Fulfil other technical chemist / account management activities in support of the wider Mitie Waste business.
• Audit suppliers and client sites.
• Manage risk assessments and method statements for on‑site waste activities under Mitie control.

Required Qualifications:
