Essential Employment Ltd in Yate (Bristol) is recruiting for a Waste Site Operative. The role is a full-time temporary contract with hours Monday to Sunday, 8:30am–4:30pm. You will guide the public to disposal points, manage site traffic, maintain records, and assist the supervisor to keep containers and space organized.

The position requires compliance with health and safety duties and site procedures, with pre-employment checks and reference verification. A strong team approach is essential.

Responsabilités

• Assist the public by guiding them to disposal points with waste.
• Maintain safe, efficient traffic flow through the HWRC.
• Keep accurate records for removal of materials from the site.
• Support Supervisor and Team Leader with container exchanges to keep space for segregation.
• Keep the site tidy within areas of responsibility and prevent overspill.
• Comply with health, safety and welfare duties for staff and others.
• Co-operate with colleagues to meet site permits and legislation.
