Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Waste Site Operative for a full-time temporary role at a site in Yate, Bristol. The position pays £13.26 per hour PAYE and involves guiding the public to disposal points, maintaining safe traffic flow, and keeping accurate site records.

You will support the Supervisor and Team Leader, help manage containers, ensure space for segregation, and uphold health and safety procedures in line with site policies.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members of the public by guiding them to the correct disposal points with their waste
• Maintaining an efficient and safe flow of traffic through the HWRC
• Keeping up to date and accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Assisting the Supervisor and Team Leader in controlling the exchange of containers, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within areas of responsibility and stopping an overspill of material from sites.
• Ensuring complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her/their actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and Policies and Procedures.

Waste Site Operative needed in Yate, Bristol, £13.26phPAYE – Reference: 373116

Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm
