Job summary

Supreme Recruitment is seeking a Waste Segregation Officer in Salisbury for ad-hoc holiday and sickness cover with immediate start. The role involves on-site waste sorting, liaising with customers, and ensuring correct recycling practices, on a Monday to Friday schedule with additional duties in Basingstoke 7-12.

Qualifications

• Reliable with good communication and a willingness to help customers create a cleaner environment.
• Excellent attention to detail when organising waste into bins.
• Experience in the waste industry is desirable but not essential.
• Experience dealing with customers face to face is desirable.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting safely.
• Physical fitness for manual tasks throughout the shift is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Operate waste handling equipment safely, including balers.
• Assist with loading and unloading of waste containers using appropriate lifting techniques.
• Ensure all waste areas are kept clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Conduct routine inspections of waste storage areas to identify potential issues or safety concerns.
• Follow health and safety protocols to minimise risks associated with heavy lifting and machinery operation.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise waste management processes and improve operational efficiency.
