Job summary

WSP is seeking a consultant in the Responsible Consumption and Production team to contribute to waste services options appraisal, waste flow modelling, and procurement advisory work in the UK. The role includes leading projects, supporting business development, and mentoring junior staff.

Candidates should have consultancy experience in waste management, understanding of UK legislation, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering waste-related consultancy projects.
• Ability to contribute to options appraisals and modelling.
• Understanding of UK waste legislation and policy.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Tenacity to tackle complex tasks and propose solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management and organisational abilities.
• Degree in a relevant scientific/engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Lead or deliver projects on waste management topics.
• Provide input for reports and client meetings from inception to final delivery.
• Support development of proposals and client engagement.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge within the team.
• Build relationships with existing and potential clients to grow work.
