Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Casual Site Operative to support waste management sites across Lancashire. You will report to the Site Manager, assist customers, maintain cleanliness, and help with waste separation and recycling initiatives.

Excellent communication and a flexible approach are essential, with basic competence certificates for site operations and first aid recommended. Bank holidays and variable hours are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to gain basic competence certificates for site operations.
• First aid and plant operation training preferred.
• Willingness to work across multiple local sites.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Site Manager and engage with visitors.
• Assist facility users with waste separation and recycling at the sites.
• Keep the site tidy and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
