Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a proactive plant operator for our Lancashire site. You will operate loading shovels, FLTs and tele-handlers, perform safety checks, and help keep the site organised and compliant with waste handling procedures.

The role requires flexibility to cover holidays and sickness, a safety-first mindset, and experience with high-volume processing environments. Training can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Operate loading shovels, FLT and tele-handlers across site.
• Carry out pre-operational safety and operator checks.
• Perform daily maintenance on mobile and fixed plant/equipment.
• Ensure waste deliveries comply with site licence and paperwork.
• Direct customer vehicles to disposal areas and assist with off-loading.
• Maintain site cleanliness and comply with procedures.
• Support lean and 5S initiatives on site.
