As department open 7.00 – 21.00 Monday – Sunday there is a scope to work additional hours to cover leave.
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
The role of the Waste Management Porter is the safe uplift and removal of all waste streams (clinical, domestic, cardboard, recycling, sharps boxes, etc) collection of dirty linen throughout the Hospital on a daily basis, to comply with the National Waste Strategy for Scotland and the Audit Scotland – Waste Management Report 2005- 2006 and Special Waste Amendments Scottish Regulations 2004 (SS1 2004 No112)
