Job summary

Veolia in Mansfield is hiring for a plant operator role. You will operate mobile plant and balers, maintain MRF plant equipment, and work with the facilities team to keep throughput high and processes compliant.

Responsibilities include material inspection, timeliness, and quality checks, plus keeping the site clean and documenting activities. Training and development are available within a supportive, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Yellow plant licences – Loading shovel, Telehandlers and 360
• Previous experience working on a waste treatment facility is desirable

Responsibilities

• Mobile plant and Baler operation
• Maintaining the efficient operation of the MRF Plant equipment including mobile plant checks and defects
• Liaise with the facilities supervisor and assistant to maintain efficient and effective operations
• Ensure materials are processed in a timely manner to achieve maximum throughput at all times
• Ensure turnaround times are met regarding the tipping and loading of vehicles
• Inspection of all input material and reporting of any non conforming loads
• Inspection of all output material ensuring the quality meets with customers specification
• To ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
• To comply with the company Business Management System
• To assist with other parts of the operation as and when required
• Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
