Job summary

Severn Trent Plc in Malvern is seeking a Network Optimisation Support Technician to join the Asset Planning (Waste Networks) team. The role involves field-based monitoring, asset surveys and investigations to understand and improve the wastewater network.

You will install and maintain pressure monitoring equipment, support flow monitoring activities, and carry out surveys to enhance asset data. A full UK driving licence is required for this on-site role, with a view to contributing to network

Qualifications

• Keen eye for detail and an interest in working with data.
• Some experience in an operational, technical or field-based environment.
• Proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop understanding of wastewater assets.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and manage pressure monitoring equipment across wastewater assets.
• Support deployment, maintenance and recovery of temporary flow monitoring equipment.
• Carry out field surveys, inspections and investigations to assess asset performance and identify issues.
• Collect, validate and update asset information to improve data quality across business systems.
• Support Rising Main investigations and follow-on activities to enhance asset understanding.
• Work safely and efficiently across operational sites, ensuring compliance with health, safety and company standards.
