Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is recruiting Waste Management Operatives to join the team in the Nuneaton area. The role involves emptying wheeled bins, collecting bulky and clinical waste, and contributing to street cleansing tasks on a set route.
Positions include full-time and zero-hours contracts. The workload may require starting at 6.30am, with overtime, weekends and bank holidays as needed. Excellent communication and health & safety awareness are essential.

We are currentlyrecruiting for a number of Waste Management Operatives full time and zero hours to effectively and efficiently undertake the emptying of wheeled bins, collection of bulky waste, and clinical waste collections, within the Nuneaton and Bedworth area. You will also be required, through our street cleansing service, to cover litter picking, fly tip-removal and the emptying of litter bins.
The role will involve working in a team environment on a set route, and be public facing. We have a number of permanent roles working 37 hours per week. This role will potentially require you to start work at 6.30am.
The post will require some general overtime, weekend and Bank Holiday working, as required.
You should have good communication skills, have a working knowledge of Health and Safety in a refuse collection / waste management service areas.
You should have experience of outdoor working ideally with moving traffic awareness, be able to work under your own initiative or in a team environment, be flexible and reliable, and have the ability to work in pressure situations effectively.
