Waste Management Operative / Grounds Maintenance in Rotherham - £12.65ph PAYE

Reference: 000A 03DA / 1

Responsibilities include:

1. Carrying out environmental cleansing, horticultural, and grounds maintenance tasks such as emptying bins, litter removal, weed control, waste disposal, winter salting, chemical control, and maintaining verges and green spaces. Assisting with shrub and plant care, sports pitch maintenance, and sports post erection/dismantling.
2. Operating, securing, and inspecting powered tools, plant, and equipment, and reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
3. Ensuring the security of vehicles, buildings, and resources, including vehicle checks.
4. Providing assistance and directions to the public.
5. Reporting accidents, property damage, street defects, and supporting enviro-crime enforcement.
6. Assisting with campaigns, events, and initiatives.
7. Supervising trainees, seasonal workers, or volunteers.
8. Completing daily and weekly records and forms.
9. Adhering to health and safety guidelines and safe systems of work.
10. Completing tasks within set timescales and standards.

This is a full-time, temporary contract role.
