Job summary

Veolia Exeter is seeking an experienced Driver/Operative to join our team. The role is based in Exeter with a 48-hour week, starting early each day, and some weekend work may be required.

You will manage collections, perform vehicle checks, and ensure daily logs are accurate as part of Veolia’s high standard operations. The ideal candidate holds a Class 2 licence with CPC/Digi card, a proactive attitude, and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• Up to date CPC/Digi card.
• A can-do attitude with strong time management.
• Experience in Waste Management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Driving and carrying out collections following Veolia procedures.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and recording defects as required.
• Ensuring all daily logs are kept up to date.
• Complying with traffic laws and Veolia H&S policies.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes on route.
