Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council are seeking a Waste LGV Driver for a fixed term of up to 3 months. The role operates from the Ellon Depot with a 37-hour week from Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 16:45. The driver will operate a refuse collection vehicle up to 26 tonnes and assist with loading duties.

A CAT C licence and CPC card are essential. Occasional public holiday work or day in lieu may be required. A reference from a current or recent employer is required.

Job description

This vacancy is for a Waste LGV Driver for a fixed period of 3 months working from our Ellon Depot. The main roles of the position is to drive a refuse collection vehicle up to 26 tonne and assist with loading duties. Other duties may be required.

The position is for 37 hours per week Mon-Thurs 7am-16:45pm.

The successful applicant may be required to work public holidays or an alternative day in lieu.

The position requires the successful applicant to hold a CAT C Driving Licence and current CPC card.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the service and the organisation.
