In this role, you’ll drive up to 44T vacuum tankers to collect and deliver liquid biosolids and other waste products within the Severn Trent network.
As a first responder to pollution incidents, you’ll be the first on the scene to stop pollutions or hold them until the issue is fixed. When there are no incidents, you’ll use your experience to carry out planned maintenance at sewage treatment sites to ensure they are kept up to standard and working efficiently.
Your hours will be rostered over a 365 day 24/7 window with an average of 37 hours per week (exclusive
of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break) but your working week will vary in line with your shift pattern and the
precise start and finish times will vary. Your shifts will be rostered in the following way:
Morning shift – 0500 – 1600 (10.5 hour shift)
Afternoon shift 1300 – 0000 (10.5 hour shift)
Night Shift – 2100 – 0800 (10.5 hour shift)
Flex Shift- 0500-16:30 (11 hour shift

You will also ideally have knowledge of using vacuum tankers and also it would be brilliant if you have previous wastewaterexperience, but this is not essential.
