Job summary

WasteRecruit Ltd is seeking a hands-on Waste & Fleet Training Compliance Officer in Rugby to own a single training and competency matrix across Waste Services and Works Service Unit. You will coach drivers and frontline staff, monitor qualifications and refresher training, and ensure compliance with operational, safety and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining training matrices and competency records.
• Experience in waste management, fleet or related operational environment.
• Knowledge of DVSA requirements and Health & Safety legislation relevant to fleet and waste operations.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification or progress towards it.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a training and competency matrix for drivers and frontline staff.
• Deliver operational training and competency assessments.
• Coach drivers to improve driving standards and reduce incidents.
• Coordinate training delivery with internal or external providers.
