Runnymede Borough Council is seeking qualified HGV Waste Collection Operations Drivers to join a busy team delivering household, recycling, food waste, garden waste and trade waste collections with a strong focus on customer service.

You will work as part of a crew, operate in-cab route software, complete paperwork, and ensure bins are correctly returned and collected within 24 hours. The role offers excellent leave, pension, and development opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• HGV driving experience in waste collection is preferred.
• Knowledge of in cab route management software.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.

Aufgaben

• Operate as part of the waste collection crew across household, recycling, and trade waste services.
• Deliver excellent customer care and promote services.
• Assist loaders by washing the vehicle and cleaning cab daily.
• Complete all paperwork and return to the waste operations office.
• Follow round sheets and ensure missed/contaminated bins are handled within 24 hours.
• Return bins to collection points and keep access clear for residents.
• Assist in in-cab route management software and update data.
• Participate in bank holiday/weekend collections; additional pay.
