Job summary

Veolia in Canterbury is seeking a driver to join our team. You will drive to planned collection locations, load/unload waste containers, and use onboard tech to record notes.

The role is 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday with early starts, and Saturdays/bank holidays on a rota. Required licences: Class 2 (Cat C), CPC, Digi/Tachograph card; waste management experience is desirable. We offer 22 days annual leave, a pension, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Waste management experience is desirable but not required; relevant exposure is a plus.
• Essential licences/certifications: Class 2 (Cat C) licence, Up-to-date CPC, Digi / Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty multiple waste containers.
• Lift bins of all weights and sizes during rounds.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per driver operator handbook.
• Use onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with traffic laws and load weight requirements; keep carriageway clean.
