Job summary

Octave Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Class 2 Waste Collection Driver/Loader to join a local authority team in Rhayader. You will drive a Class 2 vehicle and collect recycling boxes from residential properties along designated routes.

This hands-on role involves loading and unloading materials, regular bending and manual handling, and working as part of a team to meet daily collection schedules. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Previous HGV driving experience is essential.
• Physically demanding role with regular bending and lifting.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible for immediate start.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Waste Collection Driver/Loader to join a local authority team in Rhayader. This is a hands-on role involving the collection of recycling boxes from residential properties. You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 vehicle and assisting with the collection of recycling throughout the local area.

Location: Station Road, Rhayader, Powys, LD6 5AW

Pay Rate: £17.43 per hour Umbrella

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm

Contract: 3 months initially, with the possibility of extension

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle on designated recycling collection routes.
• Collecting recycling boxes from residential properties.

• Carrying out regular bending, stretching and manual handling.
• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection schedules.

Requirements

• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
