Job summary

Albert Bartlett, a renowned name in the UK potato industry since 1948, is seeking a proactive Washplant Operator to join our team in Airdrie. You will work backshift Sunday to Thursday with every 3rd Saturday, operating washing machinery to meet our quality standards before the product proceeds to production.

You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of washing equipment, conduct quality checks, document production metrics, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating washplant machinery.
• Able to operate and monitor equipment to ensure quality.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Capable of maintaining production records accurately.
• Ability to work in a team to improve workflow.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate and monitor the washplant machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality checks on washed potatoes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of washing equipment to uphold operational standards.
• Document production metrics and maintain accurate records of operations.
• Follow health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and address any operational challenges.
