Job summary

Albert Bartlett, a leading UK potato supplier, is seeking a Wash Plant Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for washing and preparing potatoes, ensuring batches meet our quality standards before processing.

The role runs Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with every third Saturday; you will work with machinery, perform quality checks, maintain equipment, and uphold health and safety protocols to support smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic health and safety awareness in a production area.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machinery and equipment used in potato preparation.
• Ensure potatoes are cleaned to required standards for processing.
• Conduct regular quality checks and adjust processes as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment through routine maintenance.
• Record production metrics and report issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
• Collaborate with team to maintain efficient workflow.
