Job summary

DHL Supply Chain, a global leader in supply chain management, is seeking a First Line Manager in Coventry. You will directly assist management, monitor warehousing performance and drive improvements across your shift.

You will lead performance reviews, develop team members, and ensure SOP/WI compliance and safety standards are met. The role suits experienced managers with strong communication and leadership skills, handling pressure with resilience.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Management experience within a First Line Manager/Team Manager role is essential.
• Ecommerce or Outbound experience would be desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and motivation skills.
• Able to deliver results under stress and within a pressured environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance for your area/shift.
• Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and succession planning as appropriate.
• Review and approve the SOPs and WIs of your area and ensure reviews are completed by due dates.
• Support briefing activities such as performance appraisals and zone briefs.
• Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Report and investigate workplace incidents and address non-compliance to safety regulations.
• Participate in shift handover with the previous shift to understand status and priorities.
