Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is recruiting a reliable Warehouse Operative for a temp-to-perm role at a premier automotive detailing and surface care distribution facility in the NN7 area. This early-shift position runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with a short lunch break, and requires transport or local residence.

Starting pay is £12.80 per hour, progressing to £14.00 as you transition to permanent status.

Qualifications

• Must have transport or live locally due to rural NN7 location.
• Good spoken and written English to follow safety instructions.
• Available to start in September and commit to the initial 3-month training window.

Responsibilities

• Picking & Packing: accurately pick premium products using picking lists.
• E-Commerce Fulfilment: prepare, pack, and label orders to Amazon standards.
• Kitting & Assembly: assemble product kits into boxed sets with attention to detail.
• Stock Handling: general warehouse maintenance, stock organisation, and manual handling (max 10 kg).

Key Responsibilities

• Picking & Packing: Accurately pick premium surface care and detailing products using picking lists.
• E-Commerce Fulfilment: Prepare, pack, and label orders to Amazon seller/fulfilment standards.
• Kitting & Assembly: Assemble product kits into boxed sets with high attention to detail and presentation.
• Stock Handling: General warehouse maintenance, stock organisation, and manual handling (maximum lifting weight up to 10 kg).

Requirements

• Transport: Due to the rural village location in the NN7 postal area, reliable personal transport or living within walking distance is essential, as public transport links are limited for a 7:00 am start.
• Language Skills: Good command of spoken and written English is essential to follow safety instructions and complete hands-on operational training.
• Availability: Must be able to start in September and commit fully to the initial 3-month training window (no pre-planned holiday leave can be taken during the first 3 months of onboarding).
• Work Ethic: Strong attendance, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail when handling high-quality goods.
