Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd in Willington (MK44 area) is hiring a Warehouse Operative on a full-time day shift.

You will pick & pack, move products, perform manual handling, stock counts, and ensure quality while following health and safety rules. Immediate start with a fixed 08:00–16:30 Monday to Friday shift and pay of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Picking & packing boxed items
• Safely moving of products within the facility.
• Performing manual handling of materials, including lifting, stacking, and carrying items.
• Efficiently putting items into designated boxes, following company guidelines.
• Stacking pallets and organizing materials in a safe, orderly manner.
• Conducting stock counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Day-to-Day

• Begin with a team meeting to review the day’s priorities and safety guidelines.
• Picking & packing, moving products to designated areas, using manual handling techniques and/or equipment.
• Place items according to detailed instructions, checking for accuracy.
• Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Organize pallets for shipment or storage in a neat, stable configuration.
• Perform a stock count and log accurate inventory records in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace throughout your shift, including tidying up pallets, boxes, and other materials.

The shift times are 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday.

The basic pay is £12.71/h.
